Depending on the aesthetic appeal, concrete sand is a coarse sand that can be used as a bedding for patio slabs or concrete pavers. The sand will fill in the gaps and prevent weed growth. Some sand mixtures contain additives that when mixed with water expand and secure the stone slabs, therefore, encouraging further weed prevention.
There are many DIY solutions you can make using ingredients found around the house however this is a band aid approach and not a permanent solution.
